Membership
Our Centre would like to enrol members (both local
and international) who would like to know more about mediation or to
support our mission and vision of promoting the culture of mediation
in Hong Kong.
Since 31st August, 2001, a one time subscription of
HK$300 has been the fee for Life Membership of CRC.

Benefits of becoming a member
- Discount in our future training course (if applicable):
- 20% discount has been granted to students of mediation
training courses organised by Baptist University and CRC.
- Practice session of role play :
- We have organised practice sessions of role play
exercise for members:
- with some training - to practice their skills;
to share how they have used the skills in their daily lives.
- without training -to know more about mediation;
to be the observers or role players in the practice session.
- Observers or supervision programme
- We have groomed students who are accredited mediator
of our centre to become experienced mediators by supervising them
in handling or observing live cases
- Become an accredited mediator
- To become an accredited mediator of our centre,
you need to be certified by completing our 5 day training course
programme or finish a master programme on mediation in the University
of Hong Kong taught by Dr. Helena Yuen.
- To become an accredited mediator of the Hong Kong
International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) or the Hong Kong Law Society,
you need to complete another course of training which is accredited
by the said organisations. Such a course will be more costly and
conducted in English. News of such courses are available on our
website. Dr. Helena Yuen is one of the trainers for such accredited
courses and also a supervisors for training accredited mediators.
- To be an accredited mediator on the panel of the
Judiciary
- for family mediators, you need to have a degree
in law, social work or psychology and have at least 3 years working
experience with families. Dr. Helena Yuen is a trainer and supervisor
for such accreditation of family mediators.
- Members of CRC have moved on to become accredited
mediators on the HKIAC, Law Society and Judiciary panels.
- To take part in future training as coach or co-trainer:
- Members have been groomed to become trainers and
speakers on mediation and related topics.

We shall issue a membership card with a membership
number for future identification to you (or to replace your previous
membership card, if any) when we receive your information.
